    • Rage Syndrome in Cockers Spaniels

Research reveals a rage syndrome in Cockers Spaniels. "Cocker Rage" is not a new problem, indeed in an American book first published in 1935, Ella B Moffit wrote of certain Cockers having bad temperaments and expressed the view then that because breeders were not being selective enough and dogs and bitches with bad temperaments were being bred from, this resulted in poor temperaments reappearing three to four generations later. • Prejudice and hidden agendas Versus the true American Pit Bull Terrier

The term American Pit Bull Terrier was associated with the most beloved dog of America and proud semi-state symbol, but the association with this term has been changed in one that is associated with fear of hate. How is it possible that in time people can have such an abruptly different association with the same breed? This article introduces the foundation of factors that have started this revolution or those that have strengthened the change in association and shows the true nature of those factors and this breed of dog. The Odyssey tells of the long journey by the Greek hero Odysseus. He has just fought in the Trojan War, and now, along with his men, is returning home. Altogether, it takes Odysseus twenty years to return. His journey begins in Troy. On his return home he faces cyclops, lotus-eaters, sea monsters, and hostile giants. • Homer - Iliad

The Iliad is an epic poem or an epic roman that is attributed to the blind poet Homer (or Homerus / Homeros), and is succeeded by his later work the Odyssey and is a classic Greek historical and mythical story. This work is an important founder of heroic stories and is widely regarded as a masterpiece, one of the great epics of our society, one that many people all over the world have come to like, sympathizing for each of the characters (Achilles, Hector, Helen of Troy, etc.). It is also one of the first known Sword and Sorcery works. This translation to English by Samuel Butler (1835-1902) was first published in 1898. The Iliad tells the story of the siege of Troy. A war started over a single fruit. More than a tale of war (the face that launched a thousand ships, Trojan horse, Achilles heel), but all fights that occur between men when their pride gets hurt, or one touches the one thing he is mad about. Homer's creative use of the Greek language and picturesque descriptions, make it read as if you were there, standing right next to each of the main Greek and Trojan warriors. Relate, sympathize or even hate the main characters as you go through. The war started because of Gods, and they continued interfering all through the story, from sleep to ruin. Aritei; the Greek word for honor, together with love and pride seem the thriving essence of the warriors, but as always when such deep emotions mix a complex potion surfaces. Ensue in an amazing story of pride, honor, love, and war. (By Don on 2010-05-04.)

    • Spartans

Sparta is most commonly known today as the militaristic culture or rival of the "enlightened" Athens in ancient Greece. Its military achievements are remembered; particularly the heroic defence under King Leonidas and the 300 Spartans of the Pass at Thermopylae against the huge Persian armies in 480 BC. And for some its crushing defeat of Athens in the Peloponnesian War. People think of harsh discipline, a merciless emphasis on courage and a society lacking art, literature and culture, such views also predominate in popular literature and in non-specialist education. Prepare yourself for the bigger picture. This article claims the Spartans were still more complex. (By Don on 2010-01-10.)
