• Rage Syndrome in Cockers Spaniels

  Research reveals a rage syndrome in Cockers Spaniels. "Cocker Rage" is not a new problem, indeed in an American book first published in 1935, Ella B Moffit wrote of certain Cockers having bad temperaments and expressed the view then that because breeders were not being selective enough and dogs and bitches with bad temperaments were being bred from, this resulted in poor temperaments reappearing three to four generations later. • German Research on Temprament in Bull and Terrier type dogs

• Saint Bernard

  We have added the Saint Bernard to the Dogs section. The Saint Bernard or St. Bernard is a large sized, heavy and muscular dog that was developed in the alpine pass between Switzerland and Italy. The Saint Bernard was used in the past at the Saint Bernard Pass (nowadays known as the Great St Bernard Pass) as a search and rescue dog in the cold ad snow crowded area and as a protection dog. The Central Asian Ovcharka was used for protecting flocks of sheep and their owners from predators and robbers and their tasks quickly grew to being a guarding protect or fighting dog as well.
